Robotic right paraaortic lymphadenectomy using a proposed simple camera maneuver to avoid redocking
In this video of paraaortic lymphadenectomy for ovarian cancer, we show a very simple robotic maneuver, for transitioning from the pelvic to the upper abdominal (ie cephalad) robotic camera orientation. Our proposed maneuver, eliminates the need to undock and re-dock the robot or to work on a perpendicular plain over the aortic nodes in order to continue from pelvic, to para-aortic lymph node dissection.

This is feasible only with the DaVinci Xi model.

With the increasing use of robotic assisted technology, the free camera movement of conventional laparoscopy is significantly limited as the robot has to be undocked to move to the upper abdomen view.
This disadvantage is tackled with our maneuver, the 'Hilaris maneuver' and the use of the DaVinci-Xi.
TECHNIQUES & PROCEDURES
Radical Hysterectomy
Radical Hysterectomy

The first total laparoscopic radical hysterectomy, with complete lymph node dissection, was performed in Greece in 2004 by Dr. G. Hilaris and his team.

Cervical Procedures
Cervical Procedures

Briefly describing the most common surgical procedures performed to treat cervical dysplasia (Ablation/vaporization & Conization).

Total Hysterectomy
Total Hysterectomy

This is an operation to remove the entire uterus, as well as the fallopian tubes & ovaries, and its quite common, in case of endometrial (uturine) cancer.
