Oncology Board

A crucial role in the appropriate treatment of our patients, has the weekly "Oncology Board of Breast and Gynecological Organs" of Hygeia Hospital. Dr. Hilaris is one of the main coordinators and a highly acknowledged member of it. The decisions taken in the oncology board, are adjusted in each unique case discussed.

Oncology cases usually have complex diagnostic characteristics or dilemmas in the treatment mythology. Therefore, besides the guidelines we have from the international oncology companies, on which the board applies its decisions, we often request additional and personalised input by a group of oncology expert doctors from different but relevant fields.  

Thus, Pathologists-Oncologists, Radiation Therapists-Oncologists, Radiodiagnosers, Anatomical-Pathologists, Cytology-Experts, as well as Gynecologists-Οncologists… participate in every meeting of the Oncology Board. The newest, high-quality scientific studies, related with the each condition or disease examined, are thoroughly analyzed with all the different fields of medical experts. Each point of view goes through scientific judgment and filtering in order for the board members to reach a unanimus decision for the adequate process of treating a patient.
