Endometriosis
It depends on whether the patient wants to get pregnant or not. In the first case, the patient should NOT be administered any medication following the surgical procedure. If she has no plans of getting pregnant in the near future, all treatments (injections, contraceptives, etc.) have a similar effectiveness.
It may be that the pain is due to causes other than endometriosis, therefore these causes should be treated; or that the endometriosis was not completely removed during the first procedure for a number of reasons.

In 2009, Dr. G. Hilaris and his team performed the first ever robot-assisted surgical staging in Greece, for endometrial cancer in a 39-year-old patient.
