Injections to stop period is a temporary solution, though not one to be dismissed. Ideally, these injections are administered to women suffering from frequent bleeding to increase their hematocrit and aid recovery prior to the surgical excision of fibroids. Alternatively, they are administered to “buy” some time, if the woman is approaching menopause in order to avoid a surgical procedure in general.
There is no scientific way to predict whether a woman is going to develop fibroids, nor their number or size.
It is one of the heaviest procedures as it removes as much tumors as possible from the abdominal organs and the inner abdominal walls.
